The music on the album talks about the complexity yet simplicity of love with instrumentals that are very tropical and upbeat. I wanted to play with the idea of “kids in love”. It started with questions of what do people in love do? How can people show their love physically? I thought about where young people from the Midwest might go on dates. Young people tend to live at home, so where are spaces that allow one to each other’s company? So the concept morphed into how can places help people be in love?

This idea was inspired by my love for architecture and admiration of how architects present their work. Architects are great at helping viewers visualize a space and show how their designs can influence and integrate with people and the rest of the environment. I borrowed a lot of elements from looking at different works by architects and architecture students.
